Hello beautiful and wonderful friends! Since you are reading this, I would just like to thank you for taking the time to click the link to this blog and for being interested in my up and coming adventure. People are so wonderful, but I am so blessed to know some EXTRAORDINARILY wonderful people.
As you all know by now, YES, it is true that I am going to Mozambique, Africa. Say what?! I'm still waiting to wake up from a dream. It seems unreal still, but little by little it is sinking in. If you look at the "about me" section on the right, it highlights how this process all started.
Many of you have asked for a basic description of what my summer will look like and how they can help.
I will be in Mozambique form approximately May 29th to August 9th.

If you are interested in helping, the main way you can do so is through prayer. I know, I know, everyone says this. However, I truly believe that it is impossible to grasp the power of prayer. Even when we might not see an immediate response it is comforting to know that God is moved by the sound of our voices. I hope to bring a list of prayer partners with me, so I can be praying for you as well while I am over there. I am praying that everything that Lord blesses me with and teaches me in Mozambique is sent back to friends and family in an even great amount. Like a double whammy! :) ha!
As far as finances, the cost when adding in tuition, flights, vaccinations, visa/passport, travel insurance, and supplies is approximately $6,000. This is a very rough estimate as details with vaccinations, flights, and passports are just in the beginning process of being worked out. Included in this $6,000 is tuition ($2,800) which covers room and board as well.
